The Bereiter laboratory focuses on the neurobiology of chronic ocular and orofacial pain. Effort is directed at understanding the role of neuron-glia interactions and sex differences that contribute to long-term changes in peripheral and central nervous system function underlying persistent pain of the eye and temporomandibular joint region.
